Here are the things I did before contacting Logitech and inevitably getting a replacement (actually a refund because they had none to send out). Hey, I have had this happen to mine, it is am issue with your mouse pad.
Edit: found my post with all my troubleshooting when I had this EXACT same issue it ended up being refunded by Logitech and I had to purchase a new powerplay mouse pad from a physical store.
